Meet The Team

  • Erin Cooke-McAllister, PT, MPT, OSC grew up in the beautiful state of Vermont, and obtained her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 2004 and is a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. Along with her passion for orthopedics Erin has a Certificate from Cornell University in Nutrition and Healthy Living and completed her Certificate in Aquatic Therapy from the APTA in October 2021. Alongside her studies, Erin is an avid athlete completing Ironman Lake Placid, the Boston Marathon, numerous other marathons, half marathons, half Ironman triathlons and cycling Time Trail competitions over the years. In 2018- 2019 Erin had the honor joining the medical staff for Women’s National Hockey Teams, thanks to Dr. Ally Howe. Traveling to Detroit Michigan for Winter Camp 2018, Lake Placid New York for Summer Training Camp 2019 and Hartford Conneticut 2019, Erin experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity working alongside a tremendously driven, talented and loyal group of athletes and medical staff, an experience she will forever be grateful for.

    The most important aspect of these experiences over the years has been the friends and community she has been able to share these adventures with and It is during these events that Erin has learned the most important lessons about the power of community, sense of belonging and the strength of motivation in healing oneself inside and out. It is these lessons alongside Erin’s orthopedic experience and passion to help others that have been the catalyst in the formation of H2O Fitness Collaborative. Erin’s goal of creating a welcoming, comprehensive and innovative space for our community so to find the joy in movement, health and fitness is found at H2O Fitness Collaborative. Thanks to years of learning, fitness adventures and to the health and fitness practitioners willing to come together under one roof, we together proudly launch H2O Fitness Collaborative.

  • Heather Donohue PT, DPT, CMP is a licensed physical therapist who received her Bachelor of Science in Human, Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Duke University in 2011 and has been practicing in outpatient orthopedic settings since graduating. Heather has advance manual training as a Certified Mulligan Practitioner.

    Heather’s sports background, especially with soccer, as well as her personal experiences with overcoming injuries led her to the physical therapy profession.

    Throughout her clinical career, Heather has treated various post-operative patients and has developed a passion for jump landing mechanics and faulty biomechanics especially in ACL reconstruction patients. She enjoys making individualized treatment plans to return people to their daily or extracurricular activities and helping them maintain an active lifestyle.

    Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. Together they enjoy exploring the outdoors, hiking and running.

  • Jocelyn Griffin, PT, DPT, is a licensed physical therapist who received her Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern University, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. Prior to being accepted into the DPT program, she worked for 6 years in higher education, within the Academic Advising department for Southern New Hampshire University. Throughout her experiences, Jocelyn realized that she has a passion for working with people, from helping them navigate their uncertainties to partnering with them to help achieve both their short-term and long-term goals.

    Jocelyn has experience in both the outpatient and skilled nursing setting, and enjoys working with all ages and all diagnoses. She appreciates the opportunity that she has had as a physical therapist to be a part of the patient journey, and enjoys using her passion to provide holistic and thoughtful care. Jocelyn prides herself on her curiosity and love of functional movement, and the meaningful impact that it has on one’s health and wellbeing. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks on the beach, fawning over any dog she meets, and spending time with her friends and family.

  • Ashley Picoraro, PT, DPT, graduated with her BS in both Dance and Psychology from Skidmore College in 2009 and Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in 2014. Ashley has dedicated her professional career to adult and pediatric pelvic health physical therapy. She believes in creating an individualized care plan for clients that aligns with their lifestyles, interests, and personal goals. Ashley has a passion for movement and uses her Pilates and Dance training as inspiration for her rehabilitation model.

     

    Ashley is a mother of three. She discovered that her knowledge and expertise in the field of pelvic health enabled her to feel empowered on her journey as she navigated the physical challenges of motherhood. Her mission is to expand access to this sense of empowerment; to provide Maine mothers with wellness and medical guidance through their own journey into motherhood and beyond.

    Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time hiking and adventuring with her family and German Shepherd Dog, Clover.

  • Holly Spencer, PT, DPT is a licensed physical therapist from Windham, Maine who received her Bachelor of Science in biology with a chemistry minor from Saint Michael’s College. With a background in collegiate soccer and work experience in fitness studios, Holly discovered an innate passion for health and wellness that led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Holly received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of New England. As a graduate student, she played an active role in her community through administration of fall risk screenings and the development of balance programs for older adults. Holly enjoys working with a variety of patient populations and has clinical education experience that ranges from treating athletes and post-operative patients in outpatient clinics to providing intensive care in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital.

    As a provider, Holly values collaboration, accountability, and patient education to empower her patients to achieve their goals. She aims to build strong relationships with her clients and provide them with the tools necessary to sustain their progress independently. Outside of work, Holly maintains an active lifestyle. She recently ran her first half marathon, but you can also find her on a walk with friends, hiking or skiing a trail, reading a book by the beach, or seeking out a new restaurant in the greater Portland area.

  • I am passionate about helping people learn how to eat, sleep, move and connect with each other to be more at home in their bodies and hearts! My goal is to support you in finding your inner strength and harnessing it to implement movement and lifestyle changes that will allow you to do more of what you love doing for your lifetime!

    I am a certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. I have been a competitive endurance athlete for many years competing in everything from 5K races to full Ironman distance triathlons. I most recently completed a certification in Nutritional Therapy as I realized the critical role that diet and lifestyle have in optimizing health and longevity. I am a curious lifelong learner and love to dive deep into all aspects of high-performance living.

    I work with large and small groups as well as one on one with clients. I incorporate my own training and experiences to develop programs that will enhance the quality of your life and allow each client to have the best experience possible!

  • Rachel Pasquale is the Clinic Coordinator at H2O. She brings with her over 15 years of office management and administrative experience. She is likely the first person you will see when you come through the doors at H2O offering a welcoming energy and friendly smile.

    Rachel’s role at H2O is multi-faceted. While you will most often find her behind the front desk checking in patients, she also runs the clinic behind the scenes. Her responsibilities range from scheduling new patients to organizing the community education seminars. She also has a wealth of experience and knowledge with insurance billing and is always willing to give a quick education on how insurance works, so please ask your questions!

    A native Mainer, Rachel has a love of everything outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, running, or biking, you will find her on the move or planning her next adventure. She believes strongly in the benefits of fitness, both for the mind and the body. This is why she was delighted to become a part of the H2O family which allows her to work and play with the same philosophy of health!
